Colic Calm

When we brought our sweet little baby home from the hospital we were so excited to start a new chapter in our lives. We had no idea what we were in for, and wished she came with a handbook. There were lots of nights where we got little to no sleep because of an unhappy baby. At that time, my husband was in between jobs so we were able to switch off during the night and not be affected the next day.

Well...how long can you really do that without going crazy?  I had to take matters into my own hands and see what I could find. I started doing some research online to see what I could find. After days of searching and studying products that we could give our sweet little angel to help with her tummy aches, I came across a product called ColicCalm. After ordering it and giving it a try we were all feeling about a thousand times better. When we would give her the “magic juice” (as we call it) she would be calmed down and asleep within 10 minutes. It was heaven sent.

If you want to learn more about it click here, or want to order it now click here. If you want to see it to believe it click here. I hope this helps those of you that are having a hard time calming your baby down when he/she is freaking out.

P.S. I asked our pediatrician if it was something that was ok for us to give her, he said he didn't see anything wrong with it.

Drowsy Baby to Sleeping Baby

My baby is six and a half months old.  The other day we were at church and I knew she was amazingly tired but I just could not get her to fall asleep.  My husband reached over and began softly stroking her eyebrows.  Immediately her eyes started rolling back in delight and she dozed right off.  She was sound asleep in seconds.  It was absolutely amazing!  I turned to my husband, astonished, and said, "How did you do that?!"  He responded, "It works every time!"  He continued to tell me that as long as she's drowsy and not ornery, she'll go right to sleep when you stroke her eyebrows.  After thinking about this for a moment I turned to him and asked, "I've been struggling to get her to sleep for SIX MONTHS and you haven't taught me this 'til NOW?"  He just laughed.  Apparently it was his "secret weapon."  At least he finally shared it with me.  Since then I've tried it on a few other babies and seriously, it works like a charm!

What can I say?  Daddy has the magic touch!  And now you do too!

The Mommy~Baby Blog

Upon having a baby, I realized there was so much I didn't know.  I had so many questions and there is just so much information out there to study.  There are the doctors and the psychologists; the teachers and the statisticians.  But what about just plain old moms telling you their personal opinions?  Judging from trial and error?  I mean you can always go to books such as "What to Expect"--which is definitely helpful--but reads more like dictionary and there is just so much information.  All in all I felt pretty much on my own.  I have an 8 year old step-son, and assumed (just because of his sheer existence) that my husband would have all sorts of knowledge on the subject when it really came down to it.  But when the day came I was surprised to find he was just as (if not more) clueless than I was!

So...we were left to discover the ups and downs, and ins and outs of parenthood alone, together.  Of course we had plenty of family and friends to go to for help and advice though.  We found many "tried and trusted" remedies from other parents and also went through much "trial and error" along the way.  Our baby girl is almost 7 months old and we're still only novices.  We're learning so much and every day it seems that things change.  It's as though there is no sure-fire method for anything when it comes to babies, but when I do seem to find a breakthrough I want to shout it on the roof-tops--share it with every parent who crosses my path.

That's where this blog comes into play.  Perhaps none will read it, or perhaps they will, but if one lonely soul finds something helpful written here, I've achieved my goal.  It takes so much to find one tiny breakthrough with these little ones I thought why not at least share what I've found to work with the world, even if there's only one other baby out there who it might work with?  And why not let others share their thoughts along the way too?  So if you would like to join in on the sharing of ideas, methods, products, and tricks of the trade when it comes to parenting, please leave us a comment and you can join in on the madness too!  If you're new to parenting and have any questions about our personal opinions on things, just ask!

Keep in mind, I'm a novice at this too.  And anything I say on here is purely my own personal opinion.  We'll discuss baby products, baby problems, baby patterns and anything else having to do with babies.  So come on, let's get started!

And PS:  This blog is created especially for Mak and Ang!
